We are excited to announce that the first stage of construction - 2 classrooms and an outdoor shade shelter, are now finished at Katuuso Primary and Vocational School in Uganda!
The first enrolment has also finished, and 88 nursery and primary 1 students (5-7 year olds) will begin tuition in February.
We are also proud to have launched our child and teacher sponsorship programs. Sponsor a child for just $1.65 a day ($50/month) or a teacher for $200/month. If you would like more information, please email annabelle@uff.org.au
SAVE THE DATE: UFF's Ladies' Lunch will be held on 12 March at Pink Salt Double Bay, 12:30 - 3pm. Come along and be treated to champagne and canapes on arrival, a 2 course lunch and girlie goodie bags! All funds raised will go towards providing women with technical and vocational skills (particularly in tailoring) to mobilise them to generate incomes and have more positive futures. About Us
- School for Life Foundation
- School for Life was founded by Dave Everett and Annabelle Chauncy in 2008. Dave studied Development Studies at Macquarie University and Annabelle studied Arts/Law at Sydney University. Together, they have experience in Africa across a wide range of areas, including building, irrigation systems, health, teaching and working with street children. We are inspired by the African way of life and want to make lasting change in Uganda. They are passionate about improving lives, realistic about our goals and aware of the challenges we will face establishing School for Life and Katuuso Primary and Vocational School.
