The Katuuso community receives a free medical clinic

We would like to extend a huge thank you to Alive Medical services for visiting Katuuso last week to perform a medical clinic for the whole community.

Alive provided 5 Doctors, 2 nutritionists, counsellors and lab technicians to ensure that accurate tests for HIV, malaria and other illnesses were performed. The students and community received free medications and health care advice.

School for Life Foundation was pleased to note that the overall health and nutrition of our students has increased significantly since they began at Katuuso Primary School in January.

We look forward to conducting another medical clinic in the near future and teaching the community more about nutrition and health.

About Us

School for Life was founded by Dave Everett and Annabelle Chauncy in 2008. Dave studied Development Studies at Macquarie University and Annabelle studied Arts/Law at Sydney University. Together, they have experience in Africa across a wide range of areas, including building, irrigation systems, health, teaching and working with street children. We are inspired by the African way of life and want to make lasting change in Uganda. They are passionate about improving lives, realistic about our goals and aware of the challenges we will face establishing School for Life and Katuuso Primary and Vocational School.
